At the start of operations in 2006, Arik Air launched a Cadet Pilot Training Programme as an initiative to creatively address the looming pilot shortage which is imminent in Nigeria’s aviation industry. The first batch of 16 students drawn from 15 states of the federation was sent to the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Zaria for the Standard Pilots’ Course. Several others have been trained within Nigeria and abroad since then.
The final review of its Cadet programme requirements for 2012 and calling for applications from suitably qualified Nigerian graduates wishing to be among the world’s best trained pilots.

Requirements
- Interested candidates should have a First Degree in Natural Sciences with a good grade.
- Application is open to Nigerians not above 25 years of age.
- Qualified candidates will be required to write an aptitude test and undergo a psychometric test
